Overview of course…
The old course
was laid out in
1928 around Lowe Square with the first Tee in the North East
corner and a fairway past
the football ground to a sand scrapes in the South East
corner.
The new course was officially opened on April
10th 1960 by Mr D.G.Padman, MLA.

Howlong Country
Golf Club has come a long way since the early days and today
the 18 – hole course is a pleasure to play, whatever the
season. Spring heralds a burst of colour,
and The
long warm days of our summers are made for an early morning
tee- off or twilight game, while crisp autumn mornings give
away to sunny days and perfect golfing conditions.

Flat and well drained, with fairways and grass greens kept in
peek conditions. Beautifully landscaped lakes provide a water
challenge to four holes and a number of well- placed bunkers
will test your golfing prowess.
Spectacular trees and manicured gardens are a haven for
birdlife and wild ducks on the lake.
The golf course appeals to all ages as it is flat and the grass
greens are kept in peak condition.

If it is bowls that brings you to the Howlong Country Golf
Club , our 2 superbly manicured greens will not disappoint
even the most discriminating of players…. Come and have a
twilight bowl in the summer… both greens are under lights.
